With 16 years of academic and professional experience in handling diverse courses at bachelor's and master's levels and workshops related to Arabic language and literature, Islamic culture, and civilization, Dr. Ziaurrahman Azmi is a highly qualified assistant professor at Amity University Dubai in the School of Humanities. He teaches Islamic Culture and Arabic Language to bachelor-level students from different streams in the university. Dr. Azmi holds a Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and obtained his bachelor's degree from the Islamic University, Madinah, KSA.

Dr. Azmi worked as a research associate in the Department of Islamic Studies at Jamia Hamard, New Delhi, on a project of translating a thousand-year-old Arabic text into English-'al Qanun fi al Tibb' Vol. III. Later, he worked at Islamic University Kerala as a lecturer teaching Arabic language and literature, the beauty of the Qur'anic language, and Qur'anic Sciences at the Master's level students. In 2007, he joined Preston University Ajman as a faculty member in the Department of Islamic Studies, teaching, mentoring, and supervising Bachelor's and Master's level students. He also designed the courses for M.A. Islamic Studies.

Dr. Azmi was associated with Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai, as Assistant Professor (SG), teaching Arabic language to non-native speakers, Islamic culture, and civilization. He has organized many workshops and training sessions for spoken Arabic to non-native speakers -students and staff as well, apart from the regular courses taught under the curriculum. Dr. Azmi has also translated a book "Architectural & Urban Development of Sharjah: Spatial Analysis of Museums Typology" into Arabic, published by Sharjah Museums Authority in December 2019.
