Dr. Sathish Kannan is the Dean of School of Engineering, Architecture and Interior Design at Amity University Dubai, where he also serves as the Chairman of the University Research Committee. Before joining Amity University Dubai, he held the position of Engineering Program Manager at Rolls-Royce plc (UK), leading global programme teams responsible for aerospace propulsion-related products supporting the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A380/A350 XWB fleet. 

Following this, Dr. Sathish was appointed as an academic faculty and internship coordinator at the American University of Sharjah.  

His academic qualifications include a bachelor's degree from the University of Madras and a master's degree from Annamalai University, both in India. He further pursued his education, earned a doctoral degree from the University of New Brunswick, and completed an industrial post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Cambridge, UK. He is a senior fellow of the Royal Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK) and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
